Terms & Conditions

Payment of booking fee is acknowledgement of Terms and Conditions.

 

Booking Fee

A booking fee of £100 is required which is then deducted from your final balance. The booking fee is non refundable and non transferable, even if the date is changed, the wedding cancelled for any reason, or the client decides to engage with an alternative supplier. Bookings are only secured upon receipt of the full booking fee by the due date shown on the Booking Form.

 

Payment

Payment terms are in accordance with the booking form due by dates. Late payment of booking fee will result in your date not being secured and will be available to other customers. Balance payment is due one month before your wedding date. Late payment of balance will be treated as your booking being cancelled.

 

Change of date/venue:

If you wish to change your booking this must be made in writing no later than four weeks before your wedding date. We will endeavour to amend your order providing the date is suitable for ourselves, otherwise it shall be treated as a cancellation. Change requests may be subject to additional charges. Any approved changes will be treated as an amendment to the original booking. Terms and conditions, including payments, will continue from original booking. For change of dates made within 9 months of original date the full balance payment is due one month prior to original wedding date. Change of dates beyond this period will require 50% of balance payment on original date.

 

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation the booking fee will be retained regardless of the circumstances of the cancellation. Complete cancellation of the booking must be advised in writing. We must receive full payment four weeks before the event date. If you cancel your event within this time, after we have received payment from you, we will unable to offer a refund and will retain the full amount. Please see below timescales and refunds amounts:

 

6 months or more before the event date - Booking fee retained, no further payment required.

3-5 months before the event date - Booking fee retained and 50% of final amount payable.

4 weeks to 3 months before the event date - Booking fee retained and 75% of final amount payable.

4 weeks up to event date - Booking fee retained and full amount payable.

 

Cakes

Every effort will be taken to ensure that your final design meets your specific requirements. However, colours, designs and decorations are handcrafted and may differ slightly in texture, design and colour to those on previously made. Where fresh fruit or flower decoration is required this is subject to availability at the time of your event. From time to time certain components for our cakes will become unavailable or obsolete and may have to be replaced, this is totally out of our control, however we will replace these with components of equal or better quality and we reserve the right to do this without consultation. Sponge tiers be consumed on the day of delivery. Cakes should be stored in a cool dry environment out of direct sunlight. Iced cakes should NEVER be placed in a refrigerator or refrigeration room as this will cause damage to the icing and decoration. Our portion guides are intended as a guide only. Most cakes contain small proportions of inedible items; it is the client’s responsibility to ensure these are removed by your caterer/guests before consumption.

 

Alterations

Changes to original design must be confirmed in writing no less than four weeks prior to the wedding date. If the changes you request are likely to incur an additional charge we will always inform you beforehand and confirm in writing. Any change requests received after this period that would reduce the order value the no refund of monies paid would be made. All alteration requests must be made in writing.

 

Damages

In no event shall we be liable to you for any damage to your order after completion once it has been collected by you or someone with control of your event or delivered to you or to someone with control of your event.

 

Allergies

Tickety Boo Cakes does not operate an allergy free kitchen environment and shall not be held responsible for any allergic reactions from any of its products. Our cakes are made in a kitchen which uses allergens, including wheat, eggs, dairy and nuts therefore we cannot guarantee that our cakes do not contain allergens. Allergens was discussed during the consultation and a full list of allergens can be provided on request.

 

Stand Hire

Period of hire is for 48 hours from the wedding date. A security deposit is required in advance. It is the hirer’s responsibility to return the cake stand to Tickety Boo Cakes. Once the stand is returned within the given time frame and we are satisfied that it is not damaged we will issue a refund to the hirer. If the cake stand is returned damaged or any items missing the cost of replacement/repair will be deducted from the deposit. If the cake stand is not returned within 48 hours the deposit will not be refunded. Tickety Boo Cakes is not liable for any damages that occur to the cake stand before we receive it back. Security deposits will be refunded to the person who returns the cake stand and a signature will be required as proof of receipt.

 

General

Whilst we agree to use our reasonable endeavours to ensure that Tickety Boo Cakes Service is fully operational and error-free we cannot guarantee this. We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform or delay in performance of any of our obligations that is caused by events outside our reasonable control.

Events outside our reasonable control include any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following:

 

  • Strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action.
  • Civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war.
  • Fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster.
  • Impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport.
  • Impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks.
  • The acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government.
  • Unusual weather conditions

 

Our performance under any Contract is deemed to be suspended for the period that the event which is outside of our control continues, and we will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period.

In cases of adverse weather we will remain in contact with the recipient/client in the lead up to the delivery date/event. In the event of ill health or an emergency it may be necessary to retain the services of an alternative

 

Cake Designer.

If such a situation should occur and a suitable replacement is not found, responsibility and liability is limited only to the return of all payments received in relation to this booking only. We cannot be held responsible for any other costs or claims arising out of such circumstances.

We reserve the right to supplement and amend the Terms and Conditions of Tickety Boo Cakes product or service from time to time. We reserve the right to refuse service. Additionally, we reserve the right to suspend, restrict or terminate Tickety Boo Cakes products or services for any reason at any time.

 

Disputes

Any refund given for disputes regarding a cake design or production of a design are completely at the discretion of Tickety Boo Cakes and are not automatic. Full refunds will never be given for any cake which has been consumed regardless of dispute, as consumption of the cake is viewed as your acceptance that the cake is adequate for the purpose for which it has been supplied. All cakes delivered to venues are photographed from different angles to show cake quality on delivery we do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to the cake or items with the cake once the cake has been delivered to a venue or collected. This in no way affects your statutory rights.

 

Complaints

In the event that the recipient is not satisfied with Tickety Boo Cakes product or service, any complaints should be addressed and confirmed in writing within 24 hours of the delivery date.
